Analyst Signals

AnalysisIQ Analyst Signals is a premium trade idea engine produced by our wholly-owned, FCA-regulated entity, Acuity Research. This guide provides the complete operational, technical, and methodological framework for brokers and their technical teams.

1. Background & Methodology

Our team of professional technical analysts and traders scrutinise the global financial markets daily. We combine human-led expertise with proprietary AI technology to conduct deep analysis, drawing on professional trading backgrounds to deliver robust risk/reward setups.

Core Principles

  • Institutional Grade: All trading is based on Technical Analysis principles, utilizing bespoke in-house indicators.
  • Risk Management: Every trade idea is published with a specified trigger level, two target levels, a stop loss, and an analyst confidence level.
  • Risk/Reward Standard: Every trade published maintains a risk/reward ratio in excess of 2:1, with some extending to 5:1.
  • Compliance-First: Our approach is designed to be compatible with global regulatory frameworks, focusing on transparency and educational descriptions.

4. Expiry & Performance Methodology

We utilize a rigorous "R-Factor" methodology to ensure performance transparency.

Measurement & Closing Rules

  • Standard Assets: If levels aren't hit, trades are closed at 21:00 UK time (or 16:00 UK for APAC) for performance purposes.
  • Stock Ideas: Extended expiry (1 day to 4 weeks). They run until they hit a level or the expiration date.
  • R-Factor Calculation: We use ‘R’ to measure performance honestly across all account sizes.
    • Fixed Capital: e.g., Risking £100 per trade. 1R = £100.
    • Fixed Percentage: e.g., Risking 0.5% of a £10,000 account. 1R = £50.
  • Outcome Calculation: Outcome = (Points P/L) / (Stop Amount). A positive outcome means you earned more than you risked.

Performance Visuals (Broker Configuration)

Brokers can choose between two views in the configuration panel:

  1. Most Recent: Individual performance of the last 10 trades, showing Original/Current Status, Entry, Target, Stop, Outcome (%), and "Remaining Balance" (starting with 1000, risking 1%).
  2. Monthly: Aggregate sum of Outcome (%), Win Rate (Winning/Total Trades), and Profit Factor (Gross Gains / Gross Losses).
