Reasons for adding domainsThe widget configuration process supports whitelisting and/or blacklisting domains where the widgets will be hosted.
This is done for added security to ensure that the widget code cannot be copied and displayed elsewhere on the internet.
This is especially important if there are custom functions attached to widget components as it prevents unauthorized access to your content and functionality.
How to configure domains in the dashboard
Adding domains is very simple. You need to access the Settings menu in the Dashboard, and then click Domains:
You can also access the domains configuration page directly.
Once you’re there, simply click the orange “Add” button to add domains you’d like the widgets to be displayed on, or the ones you’d like to blacklist.
Wildcard domains are also supported. For example, *.acuitytrading.com will allow or block all domain names that end with acuitytrading.com.
NOTE: Once you add a domain into the whitelist, all the other domains where the widgets are hosted will stop working.
Be sure to include all domains where you also will be developing the pages, such as your development or staging domains.
