Create and modify watchlists within the widgets.
Watchlist functionality overview
There could be situations where you would like to display different selections of instruments in the same widget on different pages on your site.
For example, you might have an AnalysisIQ implementation geared towards premium users that have access to all published trade ideas, and you also might want to display a limited set of instruments to free users.
You can use the watchlist functionality to restrict the instruments displayed in the widget. Please access the Watchlist creation page here:

Manually creating a watchlist
Here is a step by step process of creating a watchlist:
- Create a blank watchlist and name it in an appropriate way that would be easy to connect to a widget setting later on. For example, AnalysisIQFull.
- Use the search functionality to find the instruments you would like to add to it.
- Click the + icon next to the instrument in question
- Select the watchlist you would like to add it to.
Here’s a short video demonstrating the process:
Creating a watchlist using a file upload
If you have a lot of instruments to add to a watchlist, it can be pretty time consuming to add them manually.
To solve this, you can use the file upload functionality to save time with the watchlist preparation.
The upload process supports CSV files with a single column, AssetId. This column should contain the Acuity Asset Identifier that uniquely identifies all instruments.
To obtain the Acuity AssetId for the required instruments, please use the My Assets page. You can export all instruments available there, and each row will contain an Acuity AssetId.
Here is a demonstration of how the file upload process can be accessed:
Using watchlists in widgets
